TABS at Pandemonium XXIV - February 23-25 2007

Now in its 24th year, Toronto's largest annual game convention is set to be another great success in 2007. Once again, the Toronto Area Boardgaming Society will be providing a large selection of board gaming events to choose from. Starting Friday night and going until late Sunday afternoon TABS has lined up over a dozen GMs who will be running fifty events ranging from hardcore wargames to a variety of Eurogames. In addition to the scheduled events, there will be table space set aside for open gaming and demos, so by all means bring your favorite titles along as there is bound to be an opportunity for you to find an opponent.

For Warmachine fans, TABS is pleased to announce that we'll be running a full official tournament on Sunday the 25th using the Steamroller tournament guidelines. One of our longtime sponsors, the Two-Headed Dragon, will be running the event for which there will be a large variety of prizes.

TABS Online members can take part in the various discussion topics regarding TABS events at Pandemonium. Don't miss out on this opportunity to take part in our largest sponsored annual event and game with your fellow members.

TABSCon XVI - September 13, 2008

Continuing with our successful tradition of holding a large quarterly event, TABS is pleased to announce TABSCon XVI to be held on Saturday, September 13, 2008. These mini-cons are held in a large hall of a Church and for the entire day starting at 9am and going until 9pm a large variety of board games and wargames will be tabled and available to enjoy. Admission for the day is $5 per person. Children ages 12 and under are free though they must be accompanied by a participating adult. Numerous shots from past TABSCons can be seen in our Gallery. Each attendee will receive a ticket for which TABS will be holding a raffle for a single game prize to be drawn shortly after noon and only those in attendance will be eligible to win.

TABS Online: Personal Game Playlist is now live!

The latest feature for our members is now live and ready to use. It's the personal Game Playlist that each member can create for themselves for the purpose of informing other members of the games members wish to play and assisting in making it easier to contact one another to arrange it. For more details check out the post in the Parade Square forum.

TABS Gaming Night!

The Toronto Area Boardgaming Society is pleased to announce the starting of a bi-weekly TABS sponsored gaming night. Starting Thursday, October 27th from 6:30 pm, TABS will be running a variety of games up at a new game store in North York. See the forum for more details.

Welcome to TABSOnline, the new home for The Toronto Area Boardgaming Society. After weeks of development our new website is open and ready to embark on a new era of service to the gaming community at large. With dozens of members already registered and more joining all the time, there was no doubt that we would soon outgrow our old establishment and require a home of our own.
